I am Alyssa Schwarz, a graphic designer and marketer. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design with a minor in Marketing. My academic plan was faster than the expected four years for each. I finished high school in 3.5 years and college in 3 years.
Since college I have worked for On Site Companies, a sanitation company in St. Paul, MN, as the Marketing Coordinator. As their marketing coordinator, I worked with a marketing agency to run SEO/SEM campaigns, ran email marketing campaigns, attended and posted about events on social media, and redesigned the on-boarding process for departments using Salesforce and learning the ins and outs of their product lines.
After my time at On Site Companies, I moved onto Nagios Enterprises where I ran their online ad campaigns, edited their various websites, and managed their daily article posting from a team of 30 authors across multiple departments.
During my college years, I worked on several more projects. One project I worked on was with the Iowa Waste Reduction Center on a bid to design event visuals for an annual conference. While my team's design wasn't selected, there was experiences I gained from having worked on the project.
Another project I learned a lot from was creating an advertising campaign for Indeed.com. I was the Creative Director of a team competing in the National Student Advertising Competition held by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Our team came in third in our district as the only school from Iowa to take part. We came up with the campaign of "Find your Better ____, with Indeed"
